This bag includes an injection port (photo to the right).  It is identical to bag Type 4B-OxoD and bag Type 4A-OxoD except that it has a Type T filter.  It is often used in the production of grain spawn and holds about a kilogram of spawn.

This side-gusseted breathable bag gives a sturdy stand-up bag after filling and a strong bottom seal. We manufacture it with equipment we designed and with proprietary additives, Unicorn Bags are pliable at any temperature as well as after sterilization. The bag opening is designed for easy sealing and the bag’s bottom seal can withstand agitation.

More about Oxo-Degradable Bags

This bag contains an additive that allows it to degrade by breaking down its chemical structure. Oxidation through heat or ultraviolet light leads to this degradation, rather than bacteria and fungi that also decompose materials. Thus, this bag is ‘oxo-degradeable.’  We tested degradation rates using standard protocols in a lab setting.  The actual degradation rates you see will vary due to the conditions surrounding the bags as they degrade.
